No, OHIP does not cover any dental services.  We still advise you to bring your OHIP card so we may add it to your file and will be needed if writing you any prescriptions.

We ask you to arrive 15 minutes before your reserved appointment to fill out our medical and dental new patient form. This will also allow time for the business office to create your electronic chart.

We will need your insurance card (if applicable), OHIP card and a credit card to leave on file. 

If you have secondary insurance coverage we ask that you bring a clear copy of the front and back of the card in addition to the full name of policy holder, date of birth and full mailing address. 

If you are taking any medication, make sure you bring a current list including name of medication and dosage.

Yes, we are a select few dental clinics in Oshawa that provide this added value service free of charge.  We help you maximize your insurance benefits for the services that you require. 

If we can preconfirm your insurance details over the phone prior to your arrival, we can have the insurance company send us payment for your visits.  Copayments must be made at time of service. It is important for you to be familiar with your dental coverage details to avoid any surprises!

If we cannot confirm your insurance details (ie: after hours, weekend, walk in) you will be required to pay for your visit in full.  In this case, you will be given a receipt you can submit to your insurance company and they will pay you directly for the visit. 

If for any reason your insurance company does not pay Smile Bright Dental in full for services you received, you will still be responsible for paying your total balance owing.  

The insurance coverage is an agreement between your employer and their selected insurance company.  We are not affiliated with the insurance companies. Any changes in your insurance coverage amounts or status is solely your responsibility and not that of Smile Bright Dental.

We charge at or below the current Ontario Dental Association Fee Guide which outlines dental fees.

Yes, we will require you to sign a form requesting your previous dentist to send over your dental radiographs. This will need to be done well in advance to your appointment date.

Yes, both Dr’s El Masri and Pattanaprommas have extensive experience helping those with dental anxieties.

We have overhead flat screen TV’s, NETFLIX, headphones, and music to help take your mind off of things. If you need more help, laughing gas is a great way to help you manage or even slowly overcome your dental fears.

Yes, both Dr’s El Masri and Pattanprommas enjoy working with children.  We take pride in connecting with your child, going slow, and stepping through the procedure with a ‘show and tell’ style approach.

Yes! We do accept these social programs at this time; however, this is subject to change. Please call our office for more information.

We require at least 2 (two) business days notice for any cancelations or changes to your reserved appointment to avoid any potential charges or penalties.  

After hours changes or cancelations left on voicemail within the 2 business day window will not be accepted. Please call during clinic hours to speak to our receptionist directly.

We currently offer a seniors discount (65 years and above) for those who do not have insurance coverage and are cash patients on select services. Discount is not automatically applied and is applied only when specifically asked for.

Yes!  If you are a patient that does not have any dental benefits, we offer a new patient examination and hygiene program package at a discounted rate of $250. 

Includes:
– Radiographs (x-rays)
– Full comprehensive dental examination and explanation of any dental issues seen. 
– Oral cancer screening
– 45 min hygiene visit with polishing*

* Extra hygiene time or fluoride treatment is additional charge and charged at Ontario Fee Guide Rates.
